I am a Senior Computational and Networked Systems Researcher in the Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI) at UNC-Chapel Hill. My research interests lie primarily in the areas of distributed systems, resource management, virtualization management and middleware. My current focus is to produce middleware technologies that deeply integrate cyberinfrastructure solutions and scientific applications into working solutions that help advance science. To achieve this I work closely with domain scientists, computer scientists and cyberinfrastructure experts across institutions around the globe.
Previously, I worked as a Research Staff Member at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, NY. I received my PhD in Computer Science and masters in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University (NCSU) and my bachelors in Electrical Engineering from University of Panama, Panama.
